Here's the scoop Camp GetAway takes place in Angelus Oaks near Big Bear, in Southern California's beautiful San Bernardino Mountains. Arrivals and Departures - Check-in Friday: 3 to 6 PM, depart Sunday by noon. Friday traffic can be stressful, why not start early? Stop for lunch on your way. If you arrive before 3, not a problem! Meals - yes, we feed you on a very regular basis! Friday dinner is 6 PM, if you're stuck in traffic, we'll keep a plate warm. Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sunday brunch. All yummy. Your registration packet will request info about food allergies or other needs. Accommodations - Rustic, heated cabins with several bunkrooms each. YES, you'll bunk with your friends, just get all those registrations in early! Indoor bathrooms, private showers, rooms have electric outlets. See Facility Photos. Getting Here - Campers are responsible for their own transportation. Driving instructions are included in your registration packet. Approximate drive times: Los Angeles - 1.5 to 2 hrs. Riverside - 1 hr. San Bernardino - <1 hr. Orange - 1.5 to 2 hrs. San Diego - 2 hrs. San Fernando Valley - 1.5 to 2 hrs. Ventura - 2.5 hrs. Flying? Out-of-towners fly into Ontario International Airport (ONT), and rent a car; an approximate 1-hour drive.
